*Last week, Avery asked me what a mother-in-law was. I explained to her that a mother-in-law was the mother of the person that you are married to, and gave some examples - Grandma is my mother-in-law and Mum is Daddy's mother-in-law. She thought about it for a minute and said "Oh, so Martha (Cade's mom) is my mother-in-law!" Cade and Avery decided a very long time ago that they are going to get married. They have all the details worked out, such as on Christmas Eve, Avery will put the kids to bed, while Cade stays up and hides to spy on Santa Claus. Also, Cade is going to be an "instruction worker" because, as Avery explained it, Cade loves instructions.
