On Thursday, March 25, 2010 at 4:41 pm, we welcomed sweet baby Isla Madelyn Fleming into our family (for those wondering, it is pronounced eye-la). I was induced a few days early because of my history of fast labors and big babies. One of them proved true this time. Isla was born after only about 3 hours of labor, but she surprised us by only weighing 8 pounds, 6 ounces, which is a pound smaller than her brother was when he was born two weeks early. She is a very sweet baby, and we all adore her, especially these two. Check out their faces:

Unfortunately, due to some blood incompatability issues, baby Isla has some pretty severe jaundice. We were supposed to be home already, but we are still in the hospital and hoping and praying to bring her home tomorrow. Avery is especially hoping, since tomorrow is her 7th birthday and she thinks having baby Isla home would be the perfect birthday present.
